Kathy Schicker - Woven Light

Woven light is focused on researching the use of light reactive and light emitting materials to explore light, colour, structure and pattern in exterior and interior spaces. This project is a development from my research while studying on the MA Textile Futures into light emitting (phosphorescent) and light reactive (photochromic) fibres. The initial stage explored how light could become an interactive part of a woven textile and included material research, prototyping and creating a collection of woven colour-changing and light-emitting textiles.
