Manel Torres is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Fabrican Ltd. 2003, an instant spray on material which was initially intended solely for the fashion industry.    Fabrican's role in the realm of fashion ranges from speeding up the construction of garments including: mending, hemming and last minute touches before a fashion show and so forth. Technically developed at Imperial College London, Fabrican is a unique product which links science to art and design. The spray-on fabric is now being developed to be used across an array of markets.

The potential of this technology is multifarious and Manel is also exploring healthcare (medicine patches), household (cleaning wipes) and industrial sectors (auto and airline industries). Manel developed the idea for a material spraycan to create an instant material that would 'fit the body like a second skin', during his MA and subsequently PhD study in Fashion and Women's Wear at the Royal College of Art London 1995-2001. He has received the 2003 feasibility SMART Award and 2006 AEDA award for his innovative invention.
