Dr Emma Neuberg

Guest Research Fellow

is an artist and researcher specialising in plastics and synthetics. Her interests lie in seeking ways to recycle plastics, exploiting their longevity before reaching landfill and addressing wider interpretations and relationships with plastic materials and their interfaces cognitively and emotionally. Emma is a member of Metropolitan Works where she is currently developing ideas for 'painting in plastic' via rapid-prototyping production.

Emma studied at the Royal College of Art where she completed her MPhil and PhD in Constructed Textiles. She originally studied Wood, Metal, Ceramics and Plastics at the University of Brighton. She has worked as a consultant for fashion designers and architects but has more recently exhibited her own work with sustainability design groups such as Redesigndesign and Textiles Environment Design (TED).
